The Whatcom Scandal is a major scandal involving the Bismarck family and the Neptune Beach Vehicle Wreck at Neptune Beach, Whatcom County, Washington (state), USA, with Nicholas Bismarck and Shenandoah Bagwunagijik, which resulted in the death of Shenandoah Bagwunagijik.
On January 17, 2019, at Beach Neptune Beach, Whatcom County, Washington, USA, near the U.S. Canadian border, a group of Chawosaurian children were practicing a Chawosaurian tradition called Winter Swimming, where Chawosaurians swim in water during the winter time, one of the children dived and found a sunken BYD Yuan deep in the water and the children reported it only to the Chawosaurian police. Bagwunagijik, and the maternal granddaughter of Abooksigun Eluwilussit and Adsila Ahyoka. The news was broke privately to the Bagwunagijik family, Shenandoah Bagwunagijik was also the first-cousin of Johnathan Saint Nicholas Montgomery VII, and Jacqueline Queen Victoria Montgomery, as well as the great-niece of Chawosaurian Supreme Leader Degotoga K. Atagulkalu.
Both the parents of Kesegowaase and Shenandoah both passed away in 2015-16, leaving the two to live on their own despite funding from their maternal grandparents, but both Abooksigun and Adsila passed away in 2017-18, having to rely on the funding from their first-cousin and grand-uncle. Nicholas Bismarck's guilty plea threatened the Bismarck family their legal freedom and social status.
