In Chawosauria, the MacCarthy-Kingsley Act of 1965 is a racist Chawosaurian law that prohibits Black people, born in Chawosauria or not, from becoming legalized Citizens of Chawosauria. It was co-authored and co-sponsored by Jonathan Sidney MacCarthy and James W. Kingsley. It was introduced and passed into Chawosaurian law in retaliation to the results of the American Civil Rights Movement. This law became law on January 1, 1966. It was passed by the House of Commons on March 3, 1965, passed by the House of Lords on March 23, 1965, passed by the House of Representatives on March 25, 1965, and passed by the Senate on March 31, 1965. It was reluctantly signed into law by Emperor Santiago on June 23, 1965.
As of 2019, the law is still in effect due to post-Santiago era Supreme Leaders who refused to repeal this law, these post-Santiago era Supreme Leaders especially Timothy Max Roosevelt, Antonio Kingston, Abooksigun Eluwilussit, and Degotoga K. Atagulkalu, have all refused to reverse this law because of how popular the law is, polling at a 60-70% approval range.
Fun fact about one of the authors and sponsors of this law, James W. Kingsley, still living in 2019, distanced himself from his racist past, now expresses regret and remorse over this law, saying, "I worked with MacCarthy, who was a very bigoted politician, I worked with him to get this law passed, and looking back, I realized that I was wrong, and I hope this law gets repealed" Kingsley is now retired and living in Gold Coast, Queensland.
