In Chawosaurian Politics, Governing Day is the date a high-ranking position politician begins his or her first day of governing Chawosauria, or a continent, region, subregion, or state. The date of newly elected politicians start governing and managing things is always on February 1st, while the first day of governing for a newly appointed politician after taking over after either the resignation or death of a previous politician is always whenever it is scheduled after the end of a transition of power.

When Emperor Degotoga K. Atagulkalu died on March 3, 2019, Ekewaka M. Kalawai'a was appointed by the Chawopolis Palace to take over after Degotoga K. Atagulkalu, and the governing day of Kalawai'a was held on April 1, 2019, the day after the end of a national period of mourning and a transition of power along with it.
