The Chawosaurian Legislative Election in Canada in 1949 was held on December 31, 1949, in the middle of the 1949 legislative elections. The election was won by the Liberal incumbent, Jonathan Lothian MacCarthy, for a seat in the House of Commons.
MacCarthy won reelection in a landslide. Defeating Progressive Conservative, Wilhelm McKinley in a 69-30% landslide victory. MacCarthy won reelection because of his ability to stand up to Emperor Santiago, and the fact that he was a popular Member of Parliament.
Although this election was dominated by the 1941 Vancouver Scandal, MacCarthy was able to win reelection.
